I Just Wanted To Have Fun Today – Virat Kohli After Smashing Spinners In Nets
Indian skipper Virat Kohli came up with a perfect reply when a journalist asked him about his strategy against the spinners. Kohli was seen adopting an aggressive approach against the spinners in the nets session. Thus, it looked like the Indian captain is gearing up for a T20 match rather than a Test match. Kohli stated that he just wanted to have some fun today and it was not part of any strategy.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli had also shimmied down the track against Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja. However, the talismanic batsman was clean bowled as the ball had kept a tad low. Kohli had also given a thumbs up to Jadeja for flummoxing him.
Kohli was going the aerial route.
On the other hand, Kohli had scored 20 runs in the first innings of the first Test match against South Africa at Visakhapatnam. The talisman was dismissed by Muthuswamy after the ball had stopped in the pitch and Kohli gave a simple return catch to the left-arm spinner. Kohli scored a quickfire unbeaten knock of 31 off just 25 balls in the second essay.
Virat Kohli said in the pre-match press conference ahead of the second Test at Pune when he was asked about his aggressive strategy against the spinners, “No, I just wanted to have some fun today. I don’t do everything with strategy all the time. It’s important to enjoy yourself as well”.

Meanwhile, India had gone 1-0 up after winning the first Test match by 203 runs. Rohit Sharma was the star of the show as the Indian opener scored twin centuries. The flamboyant batsman scored a fine knock of 176 and backed it with another 127 in the second essay.
Mayank Agarwal also scored a fine 215 runs in the first innings as he batted at the top of his game. Ravichandran Ashwin scalped eight wickets in the match whereas Mohammed Shami took a five-wicket haul in the second innings. Ravindra Jadeja also took four wickets in the second dig.
India and South Africa will play the second Test match at Pune from tomorrow.
