The Los Angeles Dodgers obtained infielder/outfielder Kristopher Negron from the Seattle Mariners for small leaguer Daniel Castro, it was revealed Sunday.
Negron was remembered by the Mariners from Triple-A previously this month and has actually batted.217 in 10 video games. Prior to signing up with Seattle, he was batting.310 with 12 homers and 61 RBIs at Tacoma.
Castro, an infielder, was signed by the Dodgers as a complimentary representative last November. He was batting.241 with 11 RBIs in 45 video games with Triple-A Oklahoma City this season.
The Dodgers require depth in the infield, as 2nd baseman Kike Hernandez (left wrist) will likely be put on the hurt list Monday, according to supervisor Dave Roberts.
