Afghanistan will play their third match of the ICC World Cup 2019 against New Zealand at Cooper Associates County Ground at Taunton. The Afghan side hasn’t lived up to the grown expectations in their first two matches and they would aim to turn the tables in the match against New Zealand. On the other hand, New Zealand has bagged two wins in as many matches they have played. The Kiwis were able to able to get the win against Bangladesh after their middle order could not finish the match. Thus, New Zealand will aim to continue their good form going.

Mohammed Shahzad has been ruled out with a knee injury and wicket-keeper batsman Ikram Alikhil has been named as his replacement.

Hazratullah Zazai

The southpaw batsman had scored a blistering knock of 30 runs against Sri Lanka. However, Zazai will need to be more consistent for the Afghanistan side.

The talisman leg-spinner scalped two wickets and he was economical in his spell. Rashid Khan is going to hold the key for Afghanistan and he would like to hit the straps.

The experienced campaigner had taken two wickets in the last match. Zadran will like to continue his good form going and provide early breakthroughs to his team.
