It is obvious that the prediction scenarios will take the boost whenever a major event takes place in the game of cricket. With ICC World Cup 2019 around the corner, the experts picked their favourites for the upcoming grand event. Meanwhile, the latest to join the bandwagon is the former cricketer Brett Lee, who predicted the player of the tournament.

Spilling the beans, it is David Warner, who earned the trust of Brett Lee. The former fast bowler Brett Lee believes that David Warner is going to be the man of the tournament with his scintillating form. Brett Lee feels that the southpaw will play with the passion and also got the point to prove his worth as a player and earn respect.

David Warner looks hungry – Brett Lee

David Warner alongside Steve Smith had a tough one year before making their way into the Indian Premier League 2019. They lost respect for their ball-tampering incident, which was the headliner for quite a few days in the cricketing world. However, they returned back to the game when it matters the most for the team.

David Warner had an exceptional time during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019, where he amassed a staggering 692 runs in just 12 matches at a brilliant average of 69.20 with a century and eight half-centuries under his belt. He even bagged the Orange Cap for becoming the leading run-scorer.

“[He] looks hungry – batting the best I’ve ever seen him bat,” Brett Lee told Foxsports.com.au at Fox Cricket’s World Cup launch on Tuesday.

Well, there is a good chance that David Warner can dominate the batting charts with his blistering batting. He is one of those batsmen, who can single-handedly take the game away from the opposition. As Brett Lee said, David Warner would enter into the tournament with a point to prove a lot.

Australia will next play England on May 25 in a warm-up match for 2019 World Cup at the Rose Bowl in Southampton before kickstarting their World Cup campaign against minnows Afghanistan on June 1 at County Ground in Bristol.
