IPL 2019: Kane Williamson to Miss Today’s Match for Personal Reasons
Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson has returned back to New Zealand for personal reason. Williamson has returned back to his homeland as her grandmother has died. Thus, Williamson will miss today’s match against Chennai Super Kings. Consequently, Bhuvneshwar Kumar who has also led in the earlier matches will lead his side in the today’s fixture against the defending champions.
Meanwhile, Williamson is expected to rejoin the squad for the team’s next match against Rajasthan Royals which will take place in Jaipur on April 27.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has already led in five matches of the ongoing season and he would once again hold the captaincy reins. In fact, Kane Williamson was ruled out from earlier matches due to a shoulder injury. However, Williamson performances with the bat haven’t up to the mark in the ongoing season. He was the highest run-getter of the tournament in IPL 2018 as he had scored 735 runs.
Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad has won their previous two matches and would be a confident unit despite their main captain missing.
Furthermore, Sunrisers Hyderabad had won their previous match against Chennai Super Kings by five wickets, in which MS Dhoni was not part of the playing XI. Thus, the Orange Army will like to continue their good form going against CSK.
On the other hand, CSK have lost their two previous matches and they would like to return back to the winnings ways.
Dhoni was rested as he had a back spasm in the previous match against SRH. The talisman batsman has been in fine form as he scored a blistering knock of 84 runs off just 48 balls.
