Chaz Mostert has denied Scott McLaughlin a clean sweep of pole positions at the Australian Grand Prix, beating the series leader home in the fourth qualifying session at Melbourne’s Albert Park.

The Tickford Racing driver nabbed the fastest lap from McLaughlin by just eight hundredths of a second in an otherwise rampant meet for McLaughlin.

The qualifying ace notched his 50th career pole earlier on Friday – his third of the meet – to mark himself as the man to beat.
