Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse has been fined $15,000 by the NBA on Tuesday for public criticism of the officiating, which occurred after Sunday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets.
Nurse directed his ire at officials for not calling fouls made in opposition to star Kawhi Leonard. He was notably alarmed that Leonard had solely 4 free throws within the 95-86 loss regardless of Leonard’s work across the rim.
“Tonight was a really extreme case of a man who was enjoying nice, taking it to the rim, and simply completely getting held, grabbed, poked, slapped, hit and every thing.
