The Anaheim Ducks introduced Tuesday that heart Rickard Rakell has a sprained ankle and is out indefinitely, whereas backup goaltender Ryan Miller can be sidelined roughly six weeks with a sprained MCL.

The Ducks stuffed Miller’s void by claiming goaltender Chad Johnson off waivers from the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.

The Ducks mentioned Miller suffered the injury in Sunday’s 6-5 shootout victory over the New Jersey Devils. He can be evaluated in two weeks.

Rakell is second on the crew with 20 factors (5 targets, 15 assists) this season. Miller, the Ducks’ backup to John Gibson, is Four-2-1 with a 2.71 goals-against common and .922 save share this season.

The Blues waived Johnson on Monday and referred to as up Jordan Binnington to change him because the crew’s backup goaltender. Johnson is 2-6-Zero with a three.54 goals-against common and .884 save share this season after signing a one-year contract with the crew within the offseason.
