CALGARY, Alberta — Humboldt Broncos survivor Ryan Straschnitzki was a passenger on a bus that was rear-ended by a truck on his means residence from physiotherapy.
Tom Straschnitzki, Ryan’s father, advised The Canadian Press that his son suffered no accidents in the accident this previous week.
Ryan Straschnitzki, 19, was certainly one of 13 survivors April 6 when the Humboldt hockey workforce’s bus was hit by a semi-trailer at an intersection north of Tisdale, Saskatchewan. Sixteen individuals died, and Straschnitzki was paralyzed from the chest down.
Ryan’s mom, Michelle Straschnitzki, mentioned he was returning Monday to his residence in Airdrie when the accident occurred. She mentioned the affect was so jarring it threw him from his wheelchair to the ground.
The accident occurred on an off-ramp coming into Airdrie, simply north of Calgary.
“His transport bus was concerned in a collision,” Michelle Straschnitzki wrote on Fb. “In and of itself, would’ve been traumatic to anybody. To Ryan, and, finally Tom and I (on the opposite aspect of his SOS name), it was devastating.”
